WHAT WILL YOU FIND INSIDE THE BOOK?

Hi There!

I’m Mickey Trescott. I transitioned to the Autoimmune Protocol three years ago, after being diagnosed with both Celiac and Hashimoto’s disease. While getting a diagnosis was a relief, my health continued to decline until I was able to get at the root of my food allergies and sensitivities using the Autoimmune Protocol. Doing the elimination diet was a life-changing experience for me, one that finally enabled my body to heal long-term. It is my goal to provide resources for others who want to embark on this journey themselves.
I’m a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and also have a background working as a home chef, helping families provide nutrient-dense meals for their kids and loved ones. In addition, I have a passion for the organization and preparation that goes in to keeping a kitchen stocked full of wholesome home-cooked meals, even while on a restricted diet. With this book, I’ve created a one-stop resource for those of you looking to embark on the Autoimmune Protocol to enable further healing in your own life.

Mickey Trescott has written an absolute masterpiece of a cookbook with The Autoimmune Paleo Cookbook. This is the first cookbook of its kind, a complete cookbook that follows the strictest version of the paleo autoimmune protocol (no sneaky seed-based spices!), from kitchen staples to quick meals for busy weeknights, to meals you can entertain with, to comfort foods, to decadent desserts (yes, you read that right). This cookbook makes the autoimmune protocol accessible! With food lists, breakfast ideas, suggested kitchen tools, tips for batch cooking and even two complete 4-week meal plans with shopping lists, this cookbook will not only get you started with the autoimmune protocol but it will show you that food can still be delicious and that food can still nurture your soul as well as your body.

The Autoimmune Paleo Cookbook is the first cookbook I've seen dedicated to providing safe foods to those following the Autoimmune Paleo Protocol. But more than that, it's intoxicatingly pretty. It's energetic and enticing. I found myself believing exactly the author's goal — you can still be a foodie and absolutely enjoy the art of cooking while restricting foods to only those nutrient-dense and healing foods outlined. With meal plans, shopping lists and easy to understand explanations — this is a fantastic resource for those working to put their autoimmune disease in remission!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I look at a table of contents to see what the recipes are like?
Yep, see the sample pages to check it out! The last 3 slides are the table of contents.
Is this a printed book?
No, this is a downloadable ebook. If you are looking for the hardcover version of this book, click here.
Will this book work on my Kindle or iPad?
Yes, this book will work on any device that can read a .pdf file, including Kindle and iPad. If you want to read it on your smartphone, you will need to download first to your computer, and then transfer to your phone using USB.
I’m allergic to coconut. Is this book coconut-free?
While the book is not specifically coconut-free, you can use any other solid cooking fat in place of coconut oil in the recipes (duck fat, lard, or tallow all work well). Instead of the garlic “mayo”, you will want to use avocado. Use a root vegetable puree thinned with bone broth to thicken soups and stews instead of coconut milk. Over 75 recipes in the book can easily be made coconut-free, but sadly only a couple of the desserts.
Is this book low-FODMAP or SCD?
Not specifically, but some of the recipes can be adapted quite easily.
Does this book follow Whole 30 guidelines?
Yes, the book is approved for use during an AIP Whole 30, leaving out the smoothies and dessert section.
